Some fabric seems to have a ‘death grip’ on cat hair. I use the FURemover to release this ‘death grip.’ It doesn't pick up the hair, but groups it together then I vacuum it up. It’s a very important part of my arsenal. It’s saved me LOTS of time & is much easier on my hands. I was using a damp, rubber grip jar opener prior to discovering this item.

This item works by moving it back and forth (the reversible Lint Brush could be substituted). It's disposable, but you can use your vacuum’s crevice tool to suck up the fur that collects in the clear plastic dome. It will clean up some fur messes, not all. After vacuuming, I'll use this item & then if the fabric is one of the 'death grip' fabrics, I also use the FURemover.

The first line of defense in cleaning up cat hair, is trying to prevent the shedding in the first place. I find that a slicker brush works great for this. Our Vet Tech demonstrated the FURminator for me; I honestly couldn't tell any difference between using a plain old cat slicker brush and the FURminator. Although, I love the FURminator's name, I'll continue using my old slicker brush.
